It's been a while since I've last written in my blog. I was no
longer updated with the changes made by Blogger so it took me some time to
recover my account and start writing again-- hooray to myself.
Today I would like to reminisce the past 7 years when I have
started to create this blog. One thing that I would like to admit is that
writing wasn't really my style to begin with. Back in college, I consider
myself as a person with few words. Writing a blog is considered a difficult
task since I must be able to express myself in words and entertain my
Philosophy professor, who gave us this working assignment, as the same time.
However, regardless of how hard I think this task was, I gave blogging a shot
and started to write things no matter how small and insignificant they were. My
writings were mostly about my trips to school and at home which occasionally
had some philosophical thoughts. Reviewing my past blog entries, I could say
that I really enjoyed writing and that majority of the entries that I have last
posted are related to the mundane day-to-day life concerns of a freshman
college student. Writing in blog was fun in the past, is fun right now, and
will always be fun. It is actually a pleasure to read at my past entries again
and imagine what I used to look like 7 years ago. The 17 years old me can be
described as a curious little lamb wanting to experience many things in
life.
I have changed a lot these past few years and have focused on my
work as an auditor. I stopped writing in my blog about 5 years ago when things
got little busy with my Accounting studies and the modular program in DLSU. I
needed a period to adjust on my studying habits and give myself some space to
release stress by diverting my attention to extracurricular activities. These
extracurricular activities were actually organized by JPIA, the professional
accounting student organization that I have joined since 2006. I considered
JPIA as my second home-- the type of place where you can forget studying for a
while and have fun with other people. JPIA served as a way for students to
balance their studies and life at the same time. It was all thanks to the
experiences I had with JPIA that I was able to grow stronger and be who I am
right now.
I am currently an audit associate who still has a lot to learn
from my audit firm. With this in mind, I will keep on striving for excellence
in every aspect of my life.
